Gareth and Maria have known each other since March 2010 when they met at
Leas birthday party.
After exchanging only a few words it was clear to them that they share
the same humor.
This was already a good start. Not much persuasion was needed after that and Gareth
had convinced Maria to go dancing with him.
In the dark corners of Berlin club "Hotel" they got to know each other
better by discussing the mysteries of love, life, stars, arts and science.
When Gareth told Maria he was an astronomer, she was impressed: Oh
that's almost as romantic as a poet or a philosopher!
Despite the romantic beginning, it took a few more months until both were really ready to get into a serious relationship. Yet, after a few more meetings they were convinced, that this was worth trying. They introduced each other to their lives. Maria took Gareth to her granny´s 85th Birthday and introduced him to her family and friends. Gareth took Maria to Wales, where he introduced her to his friends in Manchester and to his family in Wales. Ever since they supported each other in health and sickness, at work and in their free time. They travelled together to Brandenburg, Wales, Swabia, the United States, Greece and Nepal. Just as the many happy times they shared, they mastered difficulties together. The more time and experiences they shared the more the bond of love between them grew stronger. On 1 January 2013 Gareth asked Maria if she would marry him. She was absolutely surprised, delighted though and promptly replied with a "Yes". But before they could plan their wedding, it was to clarify other things. Most important the question if they would stay in Berlin, or move somewhere else? In July 2013 it was decided that they were going to move together to Zurich. Since they live in Zurich, they are enjoying the Swiss mountains and plan their wedding. In January 2014 they finally found the Alp Scheidwegen for their wedding. Now they are looking forward to their wedding with you all in the middle of the mountains. Welcome! |
